The UKKSA owes its quality standards and preeminence in the martial arts world to its founder, Grandmaster Martin T. Buell. Grandmaster Buell resided in Hawaii and is one of the most recognized and respected Kempo Instructors in the world.

Self-Defense
Sova Kempo Karate School offers customizable Self-Defense and Situational Awareness Training for organizations or private parties. These classes not only provide participants with skills to help stay alert and safe, they are also great team building activities. The curriculum and duration of the class can be adjusted based on the ages and physical abilities of the participants. Scholarships
Sova Kempo Karate School has started a new scholarship program in order to assist families that have been financially impacted by recent events. We want everyone to have the opportunity to train with us and will be providing a limited number of scholarships for a full year of classes at our branch. Scott holds a rank of 4th Degree Assistant Chief Instructor under Assistant Professor Chris Polk, Professor Jesse C. Manegdeg, and Grandmaster Martin T. Buell. He received his Black Belt rank in 2007 and is very passionate to share the knowledge and experience he has been blessed to receive.
In addition to his Martial Arts training, Instructor Scott has many years experience in coaching youth sports, training and mentoring professionals, and leading diverse teams.
